Pour nous, pour ceux qui nous aiment et ceux qui sont juste curieux.
When we leave Puerto Natales the sun is shining in the sky and we feel very positive and full of energy.
Cycling along the bay we can see beatiful black neck swans swommomg in the more and more strong waves...
in fact the weather is already changing and black clouds run very fast brought by a stronger and stronger wind wistling, of cours, directly in or faces...
Half an hour later a big shower completely wet us but luckinly we are clode to the mini-airport of the zone which give us a shelter
Luckily the rain doesn't last too longtime and the rest of the day continues, wind in the face, but almost no rain and blue sky!
Along the route the landscape become more and more hilly nad plenty of birds appear around us like moltitude of green parrots
or wild goose.
We would like to continue till to a camping along a lake, but the wind gets really too strong to cycle. Luckily we reach the previous lake from here we see at the foot of the close hill a very small house and we decide to ask the owner if he can host us.
It's in this way that we meet Pedro: a real gaucho leving here without any mankind but with 3 cats and his working colleaugues: 3 dogs and a horse which help him to take care, durimg the day of the 2000 cows pasturing in the estancia Torres del Paine. He doesn't have space in his small house, but he offer us to put the tent under the wood shelter, "tomar un teito" and have dinner with him.
The day after, the 15th, as the radio said us the evening before, the wond reach the 100 km/hrs...no way to travel today. So we remain in the tent and enjoy the pleasures of a relaxing day...
The next day, the 16th, we wake up at 5.00, together with Pedro. There is, incredibly, no wind and it's even not cold: let's go!!!!
A moltitude of lakes, hills and incredible landscapes are waiting for us...
And we have the "chance" to experience the frist steep slopes on umpaced routes and with our 40 kg luggage...
The evening we stop in a very nice camp place just in front of Los Cuernos.
There while Bac makes a bike-repairing-session and Lum make a patagonic-risotto-ai-frutti-di mare-dinner that we enjoy looking at this magic landscape.
Today, the 17th, we should manage to reach the starting point of aou trek, but before we should still cycle "only" 38 km of up-and-down unpaved street
and meet the main inhabitants of the region: the guanacos...
