Here we go! For one week we leave our bike and take our backpack for walking in this amazing park.
The first 2 days the path is a bit too flat and we spend a lot of time in the wood. That make us a bit bored and we reel a bit disappointed because we expected much more spectacular hikes. Nevertheless we have the chance to meet great people from Awitzerland, Germany, Great Britain and Argentina with wich we enjoyed our evenings all along the tour.
From the third day the tour start to deserve its notority offering us the views that making it so famous.
.
And definitely we get very excited the fourth day when we pass the Gardner pass..
...and in front of us apper the immense Grey Glacier!
We will walk, like on a balcony, along it the rest of the day...
...and, as well, a big part of the next day till to its front which finish into the Grey lake. There then glacier loose all the time enormous pieces that falls, producing na incredible noise, into the water and forming anourmous icebergs floating away.
After many km we leave the glacier and its hypnotising beautiness behind us
And continue toward new horizons...
and our next camp place agin in front of Los Cuernos (like during the bike days) but this time much much closer...
Tomorrow we would like to climb up the Valle Frances to see some of the most impressve granite walls of tyhe park, but this evening is raining like a hell so we are really happy that the campsite is close to a very warm hut where we can have dinner with our hicker colleagues and drink a pair of beers and piscos trying to forget the cold outside...
And here we are close to the high peaks, not really in perfect weather conditions but good enough to appretiate those amazing peaks!
So we sleep up to the valley thinking that the next morning, maybe, the weather will be even clearer...but one should never be too pretentious otherwise he risks to be punished...for example with an early morning snow tempest!
Luckily coming down rew hundreds of meters the siruation totally change
and we can enjoy with our last energies...
the the last 22 km and 8 hours of walk of our tour...
and deserve at the end a reparing rest along the lake!
Tomorrow, the 25th (in one month is Christmas!!!) we will do NOTHING just try to decide how to continue our adventure...
